Shawwal is the tenth month of Hijri or Islamic calendar. it holds a great value in the lives of Muslims. The first day of the month of Shawwal marks the end of Ramadan and brings Eid ul Fitr. There are various historical events of Islam during the month of Shawwal that makes this month a month of great importance. Battle of Uhud was fought during the month of Shawwal and the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was married to Hazrat Aisha in the month of Shawwal. It is recommended to all the Muslim to fast for six days during the month of Shawwal is of immense benefits and importance.

Allah showers his tremendous rewards and choicest of blessings for the ones who keep fast for the six days during the month of Shawwal. It is believed that rewards for actions are multiplied more than team folds. So If fasting in Ramadan for 30 days and getting the rewards for 300 days, in same way fasting six days during the month of Shawwal will make the rewards ten times that is the reward for 60 days. Fasting during Shawwal can be seen as a sign that your fasts during Ramadan were accepted by the Almighty Allah. It is beneficiary to fast during Ramadan as it proves one’s consistency in the religion and consistency in prayers and faith is what that is loved the most by Allah. Fasting for six days after fasting for a whole month during Ramadan is seen as a sign of gratefulness and thankfulness. It is a sign of commitment to continue.
